2008-09 SUPPLY LIST FOR GRADE 4
REMINDER:
Homework Planners and Book Socks will be available for purchase at school during registration.
The following supplies will be needed when school opens:
1. Good News Assignment Book - Elementary Edition - purchase at registration for $7.00
2. 1 package WIDE RULED paper
3. 5 single subject notebooks - labeled Language, Math, Religion, Social Studies, Science
4. 2 Pee chee folders - labeled (1) Homework (2) T.T.F.N.
5. 2 spiral bound ruled 3x5 index cards
6. 2 yellow highlighters
7. 2 sturdy, strong zipper cases
8. Scissors - labeled
9. 24 # 2 pencils - labeled & sharpened – MUST REPLENISH AS NEEDED.
10. Pencil sharpener with screw-on lid (not snap on type)
11. 3 black eraser pens
12. 6 red ball point pens - no clicker/retractable type pens!
13. 1 box Crayola Classic markers (10 or 12 count)
14. 1 pkg. of Twist-up crayons (24 count)
15. 1 ruler (centimeters and inches)
16. 2 glue sticks
17. 1 bottle of white liquid glue - small 2 or 4 oz. only!
18. 1 small and 4 large book socks - a MUST have! They can be used again each year!
19. 1 box of pop-up baby wipes or pop-up Wet Wipes
20. 2 boxes of Kleenex in September (send 2 boxes in January)
21. 1 roll of paper towels
22. Art supplies - See back of paper for supplies
23. A copy of the following paper-back books (labeled with student¹s name and grade):
1. Island of the Blue Dolphins - Scot O’Dell
2. By the Great Horn Spoon - by Fleischman
3. Where the Red Fern Grows - by Wilson Rawls
Please purchase or borrow these books by the time school begins. If you wait, more often than not, the children are without a book to read along!
Grade 4 Art supplies
Can be found at
Aaron Brothers, Staples, Target or
Art Supply Warehouse in Westminister
1. Oil pastels (12- 24)
2. Watercolors (about 16 - 24 in a tray)
3. One pad of watercolor paper - size 8 x 11 or 9 x 12
4. Two paint brushes (1 small size - #3 or #4) and (1 big size - #6, #8 or #10)
5. Colored pencils (box of 24) Please sharpen before!
6. Purchase 1 extra large Ziploc bag that can hold items # 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Please keep this list handy during the year as your child will run out of some of these items. Replenish as needed. Children must have their own supplies. A book bag must be used every day to bring items to and from school. Please make sure that all of the above items are well labeled with your child’s name, as well as lunch boxes, sweaters, book bags and anything that might be misplaced.
THE CHILDREN DO NOT NEED AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE:
gel pens, or any “novelty” pens, clipboards, pencil boxes, or Trapper Keepers.

PLEASE LABEL
All school supplies must be labeled with your student's name, including lunch boxes, backpacks,
all clothing items such as sweaters, jackets and anything else that might end up in our school's
lost and found box.
BOOK COVERS
All hardcover textbooks must be covered. Please help with this. Stretch cloth covers (book socks)
can be purchased. These really work! The covers stay on all year! The students can remove them
and use them again the following school year. Cover workbooks with contact paper.
Label workbooks - include name and grade.
BACKPACKS
All students must use a backpack every day in which to bring items to and from school.
Wheeled backpacks are not permited due to limited storage space.
REPLENISH
Parents, please review this list with your student from time to time. Being prepared for class will count
as an effort grade for students. Please keep this list handy during the year as your student
will run out of some of these items. Replenish supplies as needed.
